August 24, 2018

Some changes at the grocery store, we're going to get to this is just a minute with What's Trending. The City of Madison is providing sandbags for those of you affected by the flooding this week in addition to the flooding that is already causing problems in multiple areas. Not just in city but in the country, some roads still closed and that may only be amplified by some more rain showers that are coming in today, tomorrow and again on Sunday. Keep that in mind; help out your neighbors if in fact this ends up getting a little worse. As we get into the weekend somethings trending this morning, Ben Affleck is headed back to rehab. A source said the 46 year old as been open about his struggles with alcohol addiction. He previously sought treatment in 2001 and in 2017. In sports this weekend, the Brewers taking on the Pirates at Miller Park for a 3 game home series. Hoping to get things back on track it's been a little tumultuous for the crew lately. The Packers are kicking off late tonight at 9:30pm against the Oakland Raiders. Of course it's going to be interesting because the Packers will be taking on their former wide receiver Jordy Nelson. My mom still isn't over it, maybe you're not over it either but the Packers are 2-0 so far in the preseason. And finally, next time you go to your local Kroger supermarket, they're going to be phasing out plastics at the checkout line by the year 2025. Time is running out on that you probably already aren't getting straws at a lot of places, this initiative continues on. It's trending this morning with MIX 105.1.
