What's Trending - June 29

June 29, 2018

Trending this morning as we get into the weekend. This is exciting news; you know those cross fit games we've been talking about? Well they're going to be here the first week of August but they’re going to continuing to stay in Madison. The games used to be in Los Angeles but they're here, the fittest athletes in the world. They're going to stick around for the next four years, they made that announcement yesterday. So apparently last year the games alone generated $12 million in spending throughout Dane County so pretty great stuff right there definitely good news to have as we get into the weekend. Pepsi products will be at UW athletic events for the first time in school history. The new partnership begins Sunday technically but Pepsi Cola Madison and UW Athletics will be beginning a new partnership for 5 years and I'm all about it. Nothing like a Mountain Dew and a Pepsi and a cold drink on a hot day at Camp Randall. I can't believe (we're only a couple months away by the way) from football season and the first game of the year is under the lights so don't forget about that okay? Taco Bell is bringing back its nacho fries, I know you're excited about that. Taco Bell used to have them, I thought they always had them but they're bringing them back and you'll be able to get them July 12th. Finally, Chipotle is going to closing over 60 locations. We don't know exactly which locations have been affected yet but we will definitely see if that affects the Madison area but they're going to be doing some restructuring that sort of thing. Just and fyi this morning. It's MIX 105.1.
