What's Trending June 5

June 6, 2018

A lot going on today I want start with what happened yesterday, students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School Including David Hogg, Cameron Kasky and Emma González. They made an announcement yesterday that they are going to begin the Road to Change. You know of March For Our Lives, Road to Change will really be highlighting the 4 million people who will be turning 18 this year. They're encouraging them to get out and vote and they will be criss crossing the country to help rally the troops and make that happen. They're planning more than 25 stops in a 2 month nationwide tour that will for sure hit Iowa, Texas, California and a variety of other states. No word yet on Wisconsin but hopefully they can come here because we have a lot of people who would benefit from that right here. The city council, a group of city council members are proposing to ban conversion therapy on minors in Madison.  So that would basically be anybody who is trying to change somebody's sexual orientation or sexual identity. Milwaukee passed a similar ordinance, and I’m sure they can do that and get it passed here right here in Madison. If you have an IPhone or an IPad or anything "I" related you'll be able to group facetime with up to 31 of your friends. Grandparents around the world are going crazy this morning they're like "Oh my goodness you can talk to everybody at once?” Group Facetime add it to an IPhone near you. Howard Shultz is going to be stepping down as the Starbuck executive chairman at the end of the month. You know he helped turn the coffee chain into a global giant with over 28,000 stores in 77 countries. His plan is to retire and focus on philanthropy and be more vocal on political issues. That's trending as well, if you've missed anything we're talking about it on Facebook MIX 105.1.
