What's Trending - October 3

October 3, 2018

We're going to start off with this, this is crazy to me but the environmental protection agency says that apparently a little radiation is actually good for you. Now remember that this is the Trump administration but they are trying to weaken U.S radiation regulations. Apparently the proposal argues that governments current no tolerance rule for radiation damage forces un-necessary spending for handling exposure in accidents at nuclear plants, medical centers and other sites. Most evidence that I've ever been told my whole life has told me that radiation is terrible for you or we could probably live at Fukushima or Chernobyl. You don't want to live at Chernobyl? That's what I thought. Amazon trending this morning, the minimum wage for all United States workers boosted to $15 an hour that starts next month. The company said the wage hike will benefit more than 350,000 workers that include part time and temporary positions as well. And those who are making that amount of money already are going to see a little bit of an increase in addition to that. Don't be alarmed but this afternoon at about 1:18pm phones around the country are going to be buzzing and whaling including yours because FIMA will be conducting an emergency alert text that will be titled presidential alert. Again it is just a test you are going to hear the same thing happen here on the MIX at about 1:20pm that is tomorrow so just keep that in mind as you go about your day. If you are going to the world dairy expo its day 2 and the tickets are only $12 by the way if you are planning on heading out there. It's MIX 105.1 Thanks for waking up with us!
